Filippo Grandi called on governments to intensify diplomacy
“The world has changed, the refugee phenomenon has changed, UNHCR has changed, but the principle has not changed”
It is in these terms that the new High Commissioner for Refugees UN, Filippo Grandi stressed his priorities as the new head of the UNHCR.

Italian and 58 years old, Mr. Grandi successor at the head of UNHCR Antonio Guterres, who held that position for 10 years.
