The Order of Malta works with refugees in the Middle East and Europe. In 2014 , more than 114,000 refugees and displaced persons received food, drinking water , hygiene kits and temporary shelters in Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq. Malteser International also provided medical care to 38,000 people in its hospitals , medical centers and mobile clinics.
