Conflicts Determinants and new patterns of prevention
The French Foundation of the Order of Malta has been involved in research and publishing books of reflection and analysis on topics related to the actions and the Order of Malta’s commitments.
This book (published at the request of Mr. Abdou Diouf, Secretary General of the Francophonie), entitled Determinants of conflicts and new patterns of prevention is the third volume in a series devoted to the “Risk Prevention and Peacebuilding” under the supervision of the Swiss ambassador, HE Jean-Pierre Vettovaglia.
The presence of the French Foundation of the Order of Malta in this book is particularly ensured by the contribution of two authors:
- Guilhou Xavier, coordinator of the international conference “Humanitarian Diplomacy and International Crisis Management” in 2011;
- Professor Silvio Ferrari, coordinator of the project on the protection of sacred sites and initiator of the Seminar organized by the Order of Malta in Brussels “Protection of sacred places in the Mediterranean – a contribution to intercultural dialogue” and the Cyprus Forum on “Protection and conservation of cultural heritage in the Mediterranean – A shared responsibility “in 2012.
In partnership with the Turgot Book Award of Financial Economics of the year, the Forum Francophone des Affaires awarded March 20, 2014 during the same ceremony charts in presence of the Minister Delegate for the Budget, Mr Bernard Cazeneuve, and former Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali, the trilogy whose volume III on the determinants of crises belongs.
